Our Place, Our Art

What is art? What is special about art in Northland? How do people do art? How do they learn it? Are we artists?

These are some questions we are wondering about. We are lucky enough to have many artists visiting us this term, sharing their work and talking to us.

Jess Foote.
On Thursday Jess Foote showed us her painting and Jess Foote said “you can pass it on”. It was amazing. Oh and the painting of the girl it was big. And she put on it a necklace and a ring. We got to ask her questions it was fun. She said lots of things and then Jess Foote had to go but Mya said something and Jess Foote went home.            by Aleah.

Roadside Planting

Yesterday Room6 and 8 went  to plant up  the road.  We only picked up 3 plants. After we picked 3  plants we all went  up the road!
My partner was Skylah. When we were there we tickled their roots. Then we put  them in a hole. We put  in the  fertiliser to  make the
plants to grow big and then we went back to school.
By Josephine

Let me  tell  you  about  yesterday.
We went  to plant  the   plants  into  the holes.
How  did  we plant  them?  We  put   the  dirt  around  the  plants but  we  saw  2  men from  the  roadworks.  They  helped us.  my  Buddy  was  helping  me  dig  the   hole.
